Chris is the Chief Constable for Lancashire Constabulary and has nearly 30 years policing experience in a range of areas covering serious crime investigations, local policing, large scale incidents and major events.

He joined Lancashire in April 2021 on promotion from his role as Deputy Chief Constable in Humberside Police, a position he’d held for three years.

Chris began his policing career in West Yorkshire where he served for 25 years, becoming Head of Crime and Head of the Regional Crime Unit before being promoted to Assistant Chief Constable in South Yorkshire Police.

He is the national lead for police wellbeing and is passionate about providing the best possible service to victims of crime and to the communities we serve.
